Built in the 16th century by Henri 1er de Montmorency, the Château du Parc is one of the oldest estates in Pézenas. Perched on a hill, on the edge of the commune of Caux, the estate reveals a charm and natural elegance with its main house which includes three turrets covered in slate, its monumental (ornamental) chimney dating from the 15th century, its chapel (dating from 1900) and its park which extends over 70 hectares. A stone wall, 3 meters high by 4 km long protects everything. It is the second largest wall in France, after that of the Château de Chambord. The vine appeared there around the 18th century. It was Charles L'Epine who developed the wine estate. In 1990, the Parc L'Epine was one of the precursors of the time, with the first vines in organic cultivation. Today, a new future is opening up to it. With the development of 15 exceptional ecolodges and the enhancement of its 70-hectare park, the Château du Parc reconciles history, castle life and respect for the environment.
