With almost 30 km², the Plöner See is the largest lake in Schleswig-Holstein and the tenth largest in Germany. The lake offers great leisure activities, especially for families, and impresses in summer with its numerous designated bathing areas as well as the sights and hiking trails around it. The bathing areas in Dersau (approx. 100 m, unguarded), Prinzeninsel (distance: 10 km, guarded by the DLRG, no direct parking available) and the bathing area at the Fegetasche (distance: 12.5 km, unguarded, on-site parking) charge to swim and also linger. For big and small sailors, the sailing school in Plön (8 km away) offers a wide range of sailing boats for rent as well as courses for newcomers. There you also have the opportunity to rent boards for SUP stand-up paddling. The golf courses Plöner See - 9 holes - or Gut Waldshagen - 18 holes - can be easily reached by car in a short time. From the idyllic town of Dersau, you can reach the city center of Plön in about 15 or 35 minutes, either by car or by bike. There are various leisure activities in the immediate vicinity.
